I took the photo for this picture on a mountainside in Palm Springs California.  The morning of that day I sat by the pool in 80 degree weather and then, after a 15 minute tram ride up the mountain, witnessed a raging blizzard at the mountaintop.  On this side of the mountain however, although there was snow, the sun was shining.
